boosters
Brake boosters come in all shapes and sizes. From vaccuum assisted single and dual diaphragm, to hydraulic operated (ie VH40/VH44, etc) to air assisted units in heavy commercial vehicles, the applications are ever-increasing.
Over our 30+ years of repairs and rebuilding, we have compiled a number of spares and old units for those hard to find no-longer-available parts.
Not sure if your booster is working as it should? Simply bring it in and have a chat to one of our staff. Most boosters can be tested same day.
hydraulic components
Can’t find new parts for your older project or parts have been discontinued? Not a problem! Rebuilding original clutch and brake components is our specialty. We rebuild many types of calipers, master/slave cylinders, wheel cylinders from everything from your 1926 Stutz to the latest model cars. All parts are stripped down, meticulously cleaned, painted, assembled and tested so you can be confident they are as good as new. Where neccessary the cylinders can be stainless steel sleeved so as to ensure a perfect working surface for the new rubber seals. As stainless will not corrode or rust, problems associated with cast iron alloy cylinders is negated, resulting in a much longer service life. If by chance the seals do eventually fail over time, the cylinder can simply be honed and seals replaced. Another increasingly important benefit is that original parts can be re-used, leading to less ‘disposable waste’ and unneccessary pollution and landfill.
